The crime crisis demands a root and branch review of how we deal with the drugs culture driving it. The police are incredibly successful in conducting the “war on drugs”. But protecting communities from the gun crime, violence, burglaries and robberies that the drugs culture engenders, requires policies that reduce harm through health and justice services working hand in hand.

This will include investigating novel approaches based on international and national evidence which reduce harm and promotes health and social justice.
